Roasted coffee beans should be kept in an air tight container, as well as ground coffee. You can store roasted coffees without much flavor loss for about a year unopened, or 2 years in the freezer. Coffee is still good past these dates if kept properly, but flavor fades away over time. Once you open roasted beans or ground coffee you should plan to use it up within a few weeks for the best flavor.
Our standard Grind coffee is the happy medium of grind
sizes, it’s around the consistency of regular sand. Whereas our Espresso grind
is closer consistency to a very fine table salt. This is the most common grind
size you’ll come across when buying pre-ground coffee.
The Standard Grind is best suited to:
· Flat bottom drip coffee makers
· Cone shaped pour over coffee makers
· The ‘AeroPress’ (3+ minute brew time)
· Stovetop coffee makers
· and Siphon brewers.
The Espresso Grind is best suited to:
· Espresso makers
· The ‘AeroPress’ (1-2-minute brew time)
· Stovetop expresso makers
